Top Movers shows games that climbed the most positions in the rankings over the past 30 days. The bigger the jump, the higher the game appears on this list.
These jumps don't happen in a vacuum. Usually, it's a ripple effect from a major update or a shoutout from a big YouTuber. Sometimes, a forgotten game just starts trending for no obvious reason — and that's exactly what we're tracking.
For developers and publishers, Top Movers shows what's working in the market. You can see which genres are heating up, which gameplay mechanics resonate with players, and how your competitors are doing.
How We Calculate Movement
Every day, we compare positions and calculate the difference between where a game was 30 days ago and where it is now. A game that climbed from #1000 to #200 moved up 800 spots.
We rank games by the size of this jump. Only games that actually improved their position appear here - if a game stayed flat or dropped, you won't see it on this list.
Positions are calculated using the Popularity Score algorithm based on vote counts across HTML5 and browser gaming platforms.
Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a "top mover"?
Any game that climbed the rankings compared to 30 days ago. Games are sorted by how many positions they gained — a jump of 500 spots ranks higher than a jump of 100. Starting position doesn't matter: moving from #20 to #10 counts the same as moving from #510 to #500.
How often does this list update?
We update the list every day, comparing where games are now versus 30 days ago.
I see a brand new game here. How is that possible?
You shouldn't — new releases belong in our New Games ranking. Top Movers only tracks games that already existed in the rankings 30 days ago. If you spot something odd, let us know.
Why did a hit game disappear from this list?
Because it stopped climbing. This list shows momentum, not absolute popularity. A game can be #1 overall and still not appear here if it was already #1 last month.
